Sadly in 1948 Jose passed away, leaving his wife Margherita to continue his aspiration on. With big cyclones and floods sweeping through the park over the years, it grew to become ever more difficult to rebuild and preserve the park alive. In 1977 the park was marketed and a hearth almost burnt down
